Check Lists

Today it is -5 degrees Celsius (25 degrees F), and it is hard to believe that we will be in a country where the weather is 30 degrees (90 F) in 8 days! I was happy to wake up to a snow covered Seoul today, and schools were canceled, so that allowed for another day of packing and preparing for January 12th. It also gave an opportunity to walk through the snow and enjoy the beautiful white covered Seoul. We have just about everything organized for the next months, and it feels good to be finished with almost everything. Today Tola and I spent the day in and out of a few clinics because I needed one more vaccine, and it brought back memories of trips in an out of hospitals (in Seoul) during the past 1 1/2 years. I am thankful that as we venture off, the two of us are healthy and ready to go. Our eye doctor even gave us a thoughtful going away present today.

As 2010 begins, there have been many thoughts about the many months spent in Korea during 2008 and 2009. Wonderful friendships have been established and many doors have been opened and closed. It will be quite a change as we leave Korea, but Korea will always be a part of our lives. During our trip we are going to be meeting up with Kate and Antti, so the thought of seeing dear friends does not make our departure as difficult because we know we will be reuniting with some of our closest friends from our time in Seoul.

These next months will allow for new discoveries, and I am looking forward to all that is in store. It will thoroughly be a delight to share the next months with all of you. So, Indonesia here we come .. I have been longing to travel to this land for quite some time and now the opportunity is just 8 days away.

Wohaaa, nice photos! Can't say I'm a fan of snow and I'm not looking forward to all the snow back in Sweden. It snowed in Shanghai a few days ago, but it felt more like rain and melted as soon as it hit the ground, so it doesn't really count.
So a little bit more than a week left! I have my Chinese exam at that date, so you can can think about how lucky you are to get five months together free from studies and work when you sit on the airplane :)

I'm so that glad that you will be able to share your experience with us.
Enjoy our snow day. We had 3 days before Christmas so that Amanda actually had 2 weeks off
as a holiday. But today all good things came to an end and she went back to school.
Make a snow angel for me :)

    Much Love

Kettle Falls, Wa. USA connected with Uppsala, Sweden today as Diane and Yim wrote back and forth on facebook.

Here in Kettle Falls Breanna not connecting with Diane as much. Maybe time is getting near to travel to Providence Hospital in Colville, Wa. So Em and Diane can trust that all will go well with baby Mika getting ready to come into the world.

Wonderful to hear about all of your plans when you will be headed to Indonesia. I am told that you are going to be there for a month. For certain there will be a great many wonderful and beautiful things that you will be seeing and doing. You will make wonderful memories that no one will be able to take from you.
    Love to you both,
